Fish, fish, and more fish

Another great day of fishing and shore lunches. When there are so many eater sized walleyes being caught, why eat PB&J for lunch. Right?!
There were plenty of big fish caught today as well...Pike, Walleye and Trout...who wants to come fishing?

Tuesday update...

Great fishing...just not a lot of pics be shared yet. I did, however, get pictures of our 2 biggest walleyes of 2018.
Jim caught a 29 incher and Boone caught a 30 incher.
Both fish were thick and healthy and were returned back into lake. Awesome job guys!
Overall, fishing remains very good. We are still seeing 20-25 inch walleyes consistently along with plenty of eaters.
In fact, we had not 1, but 3 shore lunches today...Well, three groups doing their own lunches. One group did the traditional fish and potatoes outside (with onion rings), another group made walleye Cheezers, and the last group made their famous walleye chowder. Holy cow was it a great lunch. I enjoyed all 3 equally. Thanks boys.

30 inches...our new leader!

week 5 start

With 3 straight days of consistent South East winds, it is no surprise to see the numbers of fish going up. We are seeing really good numbers of 14-18 inch walleyes and some fishermen are hitting schools of 20-24 inchers. The biggest this week so far is 28 inches. We have also seen a few nice pike (40in+) including a 42 incher caught off the swim dock using a fly rod! Trout fishing has been spotty due to the high winds making it tough to fish the big water, but we have seen some caught everyday.
With the abundance of under 18in walleye being caught, we have also had many groups doing multiple shore lunches already (with more scheduled for tomorrow). Yep, I am enjoying my lunch breaks!

Week 4 update (6/10)

Sorry for the delay on last weeks totals...but, Saturday morning 50 guests left at 9am and then 50 new guests started to arrive by 10:30am. Needless to say, we were quite busy for the past 36 hours. Luckily we have awesome guests so the transition from week 3 to week 4 was crazy busy but, very enjoyable. And fishing is starting to pick up again. More on that later.
Last week totals...
Perch - 4 more jumbos over 10 inches, biggest is 11in
Trout - 60 trout!! biggest was 38 inches (83 for the season)
Walleye - 25 more over 25 inches, 28 inches is still the biggest, and we are at 120 walleyes 25 inches or bigger.
Pike - 9 more 40+ inches, biggest is 43 inches, 19 total
I will add pictures in a bit.

Be ready to laugh...
