Jeremiah gets his first Honda ride.

Just like his big sister, J-Man loves to ride with daddy on the ATV. Any time they get fussy I put them on the Honda and we ride around camp. They calm right down!

Our first boat ride of the year.

After putting 18 boats into the water, I took Josie for a boat ride to see the ice
that is still on the main lake. As you can see, the ice is candled and black. Good
for breaking up and for eating. The last picture is looking to the northeast towards
Wolf Bay. A couple more warm and windy days should have the west end of Red
Lake pretty much open. Howey Bay in town still has lots of white ice, however.

Our bay is open!!!

No this is not an illusion, we actually have open water in our bay.
It is so nice to wake up to a beautiful lake again.

Terry's giant pike approx. 49" and 30lbs

Playing in the rain

With the rain and warm temps today, our bay will
be almost entirely open by the end of the day!
The main lodge is 90 percent clean and unpacked.
We also have water to the fish cleaning house and all
four ice machines are running. Time to get the shower
house cleaned and running.

Our 2 little campers

Jeremiah James (5 months) aka. J-Man
Josie Mae (4 years) aka. poptart

Funny...I don't see any family resemblance.

This is how we all feel at the end of long day at camp.

Finally another warm day!

The weather finally broke and the sun returned. As you can see from the pics, the creek is really starting to open up and the ice in our bay is turning black. If all goes well we may catch our first fish of the year soon! 5 days until walleye cheezers!
Thanks to the sun we also had our last pipe thaw out and we have water to the main lodge!!!! We now have a working kitchen again, wow what a relief. Plus there were NO broken pipes. Tomorrow we will get water to the rest of camp.
