We have a new leader!!!!

Vinnie waited to the last day to boat his first ever pike over 40 inches.
Not only did he get his over 40, he went well past 40 inches, all the way
to 43 1/2 inches. That is going to be a tough one to beat. Although,
considering how many big pike we have seen so far, it may just happen.
Great Job Vin!!!

Way to go Brook

Brooke caught this one right across from camp near  the old outpost
cabin. As usual, we are seeing lots of big pike being caught right in South Bay.

Last night we were treated to very nice Northern Lights display.
The lights came out around 11pm and lasted longer than I could
stay awake. With lots of clear nights in the forecast, there is a good
chance to see some more beautiful displays.

Pike number 3

Brian with another nice 40" pike

Another 40 incher!!

Even though fishing was kind of slow overall, it did not
stop 3 of our guests from landing 40 inch pike. We also
had another guest land a nice laker.
(just waiting on pictures)

The weather has been, and looks to continue to be, very
sunny and warm. The lake temp. has gone up 20-25 deg
in some areas. Our next groups better bring plenty of
sunscreen! And maybe a beach umbrella.

First fish of the day!

With just a bobber and dead minnow, Logan hooked this monster in the
first five minutes of the morning. It took him much longer to get it in the
boat, however. He caught it right in our back bay.

Let eat!

Fishing may be slow, but it is not so slow that the
boys could not have a nice shore lunch. Plenty of
fish, potatoes, and onion rings for everyone!

Weather is beautiful...fishing is kinda slow.

It always seems like we have to trade some fishing action to enjoying some
gorgeous summer weather. Luckily for the kids, they have
no problem with this kind of weather.

Nice job Wyatt!!

Wyatt with a 27" walleye

Fishing a a little slow for some guests this afternoon, but not for Wyatt. It is sure nice to see the bigger walleyes again.
Water is still really cold. Nice weather is forecasted for the rest of the week though.

Nap time...

This is what it looks like the day after move-in day.
The troops are resting up for day 2 of our busiest week so far.
At least the rain has stopped and the sun is out. Should be a good fishing day.
