Another good week!

Thank you to all of the groups for making this such an enjoyable week for us and our kids!
We hope everyone has a safe trip home. Please keep in touch and don't forget to send us
some more pictures of your trip.
Overall, the fishing seems to be picking up. We are seeing more and more walleyes and the
lakers are starting to bite again (slowly). The pike fishing remains excellent. We have seen more
BIG pike than I can ever remember. They are being caught by every method.

Duggans

The Duggan group had a very good week of fishing. They worked hard for the
northern pike and as you can see, their efforts paid off. Everyone is headed
home with some good memories and fish stories. Thanks Duggan crew.

Canada memories

The group from OVHS had quite the day yesterday...
boating, fishing, shore lunch, float plane ride and more fishing.
That's what I call a complete day Up North!

Fish are still biting!

The boys caught some more nice fish the other day and this morning.
They headed out early, before breakfast, and caught 3 lake trout with
a couple more hooked up but not boated. The other group also caught
some lakers last night along with some walleyes and 2 burbots.
(pics coming soon)

The Students from OVHS had a great night of fishing. They caught a mess of eater size walleyes along with some nice pike as well. Tyler caught a really nice 38.5" pike trolling a husky jerk! (pic will up later)

Girl power

Kourtney drives the boat...
She catches a muskie...

She catches a stringer of walleyes...

and she cleans her own fish!

We love it when we these young ladies
come up here and get after the fish like
the boys do. Keep up the great job Kourtney!

Small fisherman - BIG fish!!

Jon may not have the biggest pike of the year, but I think it is safe to say that he has the biggest fish proportional to the size of the fisherman. He landed this 40" pike by himself right in our bay.
Great job Jon!!!!

Good night of fishing

We had some rain and storms tonight. The front seemed to help the fishing
a bit. We caught a bunch of walleyes and small pike at Suffel Lake, along with
this big pike. The Heth crew also did very well at Suffel. I saw quite a few more
of our guests down in the fish cleaning house as well. The bite is still very light,
however. Most of the fish being caught are on jig and minnow fished very slow.
The boys and I caught everything on dead minnows. Great job boys!!

Today's Update

No pics yet, but we will have some more nice fish to show off soon. Today the fishing picked up again. The Repeta group did very well on the walleyes and the Duggan boys caught quite a few northern pike. Also, the last group to arrive, Orchard View High School, caught some nice fish in our bay this evening including a 40" pike. All of the new guests are now unpacked, organized, and ready to get after the fish. Hopefully the momentum will continue tomorrow. We may actually get some much needed rain, also.
