Day one of 2018!! (pics added)

We made it to camp! Beautiful traveling weather, arrived at camp with 70° temps!By the time the sun set we were in the 40s. We woke up Monday morning to snow showers and temperatures that never got out of the 30s.  It was definitely an inside day unpacking and getting our cabin in order. Today the temperature in the 50s with zero precipitation. Of course the big question is how much ice on the lake… There is still plenty of ice on all parts of the lake. I would guess at least two more weeks before the main lake opens. Our little creek by the boats it’s flowing Which is a good sign plenty of warm weather in the forecast, we will keep you posted. I will put up some pictures later today or early this evening. Our Internet is up so if you have any important questions feel free to email us at anytime.

Josie turned 9 yrs old on Monday.
Here tradition is to have donuts in bed.
We spent the night in Fort Frances and surprised her
at 6am...eat your donuts and lets get to camp!!

Our first Canadian sunrise of 2018

We made it to Red Lake at 1pm.

The kids at Parker bridge doing a happy dance
or they just have mini van fever.

Parker Lake...still iced over.

Home sweet home!!!
Arrived to blue skies and 70 deg weather.

Most of the snow is gone...but there is still lots of ice.

And then...Yes, it snowed Tuesday.

And then...Wednesday we saw blue skies and 60 deg.

The creek by the main dock...it looks better in the picture, there is still
quite a bit of ice in our bay.
