Go ice go...

It is all about the ice. Camps can't open, boats can't be put in, guests can't get to some camps, and of course no fish being caught of the dock for that first fish fry of the season!

I am going to try something different on this post. I will try to continually update this post with pictures of our bay as the weather warms and the ice starts to melt. I will try to take pictures from the same spots to show the progression of the thaw. Hope this helps keep everyone in the loop.

May 4...60 degrees sunny and high winds.
In our bay, shore lines and docks are starting to open.

Look straight back...there is open water coming in from the creek.
This area always opens first. Big pike should be around the swim dock
by the end of the weekend.

A great end to a beautiful and busy day!

Hopefully not to many more ice covered sunsets in our bay.

Another great sunset.
Amazingly, the northern lights started to come out
20 minutes later...could be a late night for us!

The Northern Lights put on a pretty awesome show last
night! With the temps dipping below freezing, the family
bundled up to stay warm.
Sorry, no pics of the lights...never works and just does not
do it any justice.
