Playing hooky to go fishing...

Josie with her first trophy of the year (22 inches)

Mary and Josie out fished dad tonight.
I became net man and camera man. Very fun to watch!!

Below are the 2 pictures Josie drew as soon as she got back to camp. She drew them all by herself and wanted to surprise me with them as a 'thank you' for taking her fishing.

This is a picture of the fish she and Mary caught.

This is the 3 of us in the boat. Josie is in the middle and her hand looks like that
because she is waving. Mary is on the left and I am on the right.

Lake Trout Stocking

The Thorgenson crew had a great shore lunch Wed.

Windy, Windy, Windy!!!

We have had some very windy days this week, which means our internet connection gets lost or slows down. I will be updating some more and adding more pics later today. Stay tuned :)

Quick update...weather and fishing have been slow this week so far. There have been some nice fish caught however, and the portage lakes and our bay  have produced good numbers. Weather is steadily warming again and hopefully so will the fishing.

"And the tradition continues..."

" Well I thought you would like to know that our tradition of catching one last trout on the way out remains intact! Here is a picture of Vic with our last trout of the week caught at Potato Island as we headed out. Definitely the frosting on the cake with another tagged trout RL02-3187 measuring 30 inches. Here is a cool piece of data...out of the last 6 trout caught, 5 were tagged!" - Tim Green

It is also worth mentioning that Vic and Tim also have a tradition of catching fish before they even arrive at camp. This year, they not only caught a couple of lakers, they also landed a bunch of pike as well, one of which was 38 inches! That is quite a nice way to start and end a fishing trip.
