Over the past 3 weeks we have had many groups stay with us and I can honestly say that my family and I enjoyed our time with all of them! More enjoyable conversations, shore lunches, laughs and fish stories than I could ever have time to write about. Lets just say that the past 3 weeks at camp have been quite memorable and my family and I appreciate everyone who came to visit!
As for the fishing...overall it was a little slower due to the warmer weather and the Mayfly hatch (that came in July). This is in comparison to the fantastic first half of the year, so a little slower still means there was still plenty of good fish caught and, at times, some really good numbers. Many guests were able to reel in some personal bests and there was no shortage of 14-18 inch walleyes for shore lunches. Even I was able to get out do some fishing with Jillian and the kids...got to keep up on my Cheezer supply you know (also walleye pickle poppers and south of the border crispys).
